Selecting catalysts for marine fuels production
The selection of a better catalyst for different hydroprocessing applications is important to improve the refining margin. An important aspect of catalyst selection is to perform independent catalyst testing and compare the performance under actual refinery process conditions. This publication gives a good example of how tests can be performed to provide a meaningful data which can guide in selection of best suited catalyst for commercial hydrotreatment reactor unit.
